Meet Our Lead Pastors

Shane and Rachael Johnston are the founders and lead pastors of Resonate Church. They are passionate about seeing people connect with Jesus and discover their purpose in a church that feels like home.

Shane and Rachael have been married since 2005. Their journey has been one of great faith and impossible miracles - both of their girls being born after they were told they had little to no chance of conceiving a child. This journey of faith has enabled them to lead our church full of faith that God’s best is always yet to come.

Governance

We have two layers of Church Governance. We are directed by our legal board of directors and we are further advised by our Pastoral Oversight team.

Board of Directors

Pastor Shane Johnston, Chairman of the Board

Shane began his career in business and was a CPA prior to entering ministry. He left business and became a pastor at CLA Church in Langley for 9 years prior to being sent to plant Resonate Church.

Daniel Jennings, Treasurer

Daniel has been a CPA for over 25 years and is currently the managing director of a private equity investment company. He was formally the CFO and minority owner of 4Refuel.

Helen Balzer, Secretary

Helen currently serves on a number of boards both locally and internationally. She formally serves for over 25 years on the Relate Church pastoral team. She founded a consulting firm specializing in assisting Charities and Non Profits.

Pastor Jono Zantingh

Lead and Founding Pastor of Evolve Church in Edmonton, Alberta.

Pastor Jonathan Strutt

Lead Pastor of Motion Church in Kamloops, BC.

Pastors Matt & Sarah Keller

Lead and Founding Pastors of Next Level Church in Fort Myers, Florida, a multisite church with over 3,000 weekly attendees and 4 locations. The Keller’s are also the founders of the Next Level Relational Network, a network of more than 160 churches across the US, Canada and Europe.

Pastor Brent Cantelon

President of ARC Canada. Formerly, Brent was Lead Pastor of CLA Church in Langley, and a member of the PAOC General Executive.
